Default Giving up on v.2.1

MLCD 2.1 has made me look foolish in front of a client for the last time. I re-installed
MLCD 1.3 on the other side of my HD partition
(since I couldn't install it on the same volume as v.2.1) and it works just like it used to: perfectly. I created an extension set just for v.2.1 (G3 Base + Digisystem Init) as per techsupport's suggestion and it crashes constantly. I'm seriously considering switching to Jam for CD mastering and using Digital Performer (since Sound Designer II has become unreliable too and PT is a pain for editing stereo files...).

Am I the only one to experience problems w/
MLCD 2.1?

I'm using a 233mHz G3 w/ OS 8.1. There must be a conflict w/ the G3 Base extension set...

I'm using MLCD 2.1 on a PPC 9600/350 together with PT 4.3 Mix+ System, MacOS 8.0. So far, it works perfectly. Maybe it conflicts with other programs running on your computer. I think it's best to run no other program simultaneously. Check out p.16/17 of your MLCD manual ("Before You Start MasterList CD - Preparing your Computer"), maybe that helps.

I'm not running any other programs... I have an extension set exclusively for MLCD: G3 Base w/ only Digisystem Init turned on (suggested by Tech Support). Memory settings according to manual and Tech suggestions.
2.1 crashes. 1.3 does not. Any G3/OS 8.1 users out there?

Gantt-

Maybe it's a problem with the partition? I've seen them go bad at which point certain apps will go haywire when trying to launch off the partition. It would be interesting to see what happens if you swap the locations of 1.3 and 2.1. If 1.3 crashes and 2.1 does not... look at the partition.

blairl: That's exactly what mine has been doing.

Techsupt: I'll try that experiment when I find time. Unfortunately (or maybe I should say fortunately...) I've been too busy lately for experimenting, and I can't stand the idea of crashing the system in front of another client...

I've been using MLCD since it first came out a few years ago, (version 1.0). I haven't had any problems with the program until the current version (2.1). Lately me computer has been freezing while burning discs. This happens about every other time I burn a disc. The same extension set is used in all cases. Any ideas?
