I don't believe you can import MP3's into PT LE. Can you convert it first to an AIFF file or something with another ap?

Out,

I already do that (convert the mp3 to SDll), but I still getting the same error, even with the SDll file.
I dont have any problem with another SDll files, only when the SDll its a mp3 converted to SDll.
I think its something wrong (a bug) of PT 5.1

Are you trying to import the file into a PC or MAC version of PT. I once ran into similar problems with files not being imprted properly, or the file would import, but show up as a 1ms region of Silence. so, I used a PC to convert the MP3 to an AIF file, the dropped the aif into File Typer on the MAC and changed the file type to .aif and the creater to Sd2a or auFM(Peak). This fixed my problem. Let me know if this works for you.

Are you getting the error message "can't import 16 bit". If so, the conversion program you are using only converts to 16 bit. If you are trying to import into a 24 bit session, it won't work. You need to first set up a new session and select 16 bit. Then the import will work. You can then import AIFF or SDII files.

Pro Tools LE 5.1 can import MP3 audio files, as well as export to MP3 if you have MP3 Option software. Available from the DigiStore, or a free downloadable update for existing MP3 Export owners.

-Although I'm not sure of the reason, we have found this to be a problem with only certain MP3 files (specifically, ones downloaded from Napster).

-This will be fixed in PT 5.1.1
