Default Axe FX with mbox2 (spdif) - no signal

I've connected the Axe FX with spdif to PTLE 7.4, but i see no signal when the record button is active (flashing).

Following things ive done:
Internal clock set to: spdif.
session and sample set to 48.
created a new stereo audio track
chosen s/pdif stereo as input.
out 1-2 as output.

The S/PDIF light on the mbox2 is flashing..

what to do?

No, that didnt work.

I see no movement in the "signal bar", so it seems there is no signal there.
Should the spdif be flashing like it does?

No. The S/PDIF light flashing means that you've selected it as clock source, but there is no clock for it to lock to. In other words, it's not getting a S/PDIF signal.

For the OP, here is how it works on 8.0.4 with the Eleven Rack connected via SPDIF into the 003R.

Setup>Hardware

003R. Optical ADAT.
Clock source: S/PDIF

Eleven Rack: Clock Source: Internal.

the Input for Eleven Rack is SPDIF 1-2. In 8.0.3 and lower, input was ADAT 1-2.

The AxeFX SPDIF just has a sample rate of 48, correct? No option for 44.1 right. And you do have both the IN and OUT connected via SPDIF right.

The MBox 2 does not have ADAT I/O.

Atleast i dont see any ADAT IO, only mbox2, and the internal/spdif.

Correct

The RCA cables are in the mbox2 and out of the axe fx.
In the I/O options of PT, the input are spdif, but the output are out 1-2 analog. Maybe this is the problem? I've never touched the settings in the I/O before tbh. AND - When i think of it i got standard RCA cables, should i be using the ones with the optical light in the tip of the cable?
