No/weak signal
I have just bought M powered essential and i am having problems recording my bass. the box just doesn't seem to be receiving signal and when it does it is weak or delayed regardless of the levels. The mic/guitar switch is in the correct position and it isn't my pick ups or lead (well the lead is getting old but still runs through my amp). Is it a fault i am making or is the box poor receiving direct from a guitar? if so i have a head or practice amp i can run through but i don't have enough leads at the mo.
Thanks |

Re: No/weak signal
Had the same problem with my guitar. Looks like it is due to the passive pick-ups having an impedance mismatch with the box.
A DI box was recommended, but I just put the guitar through a multi-effects pedal which gave it a bit amplification for recording. Try connecting the amp output to your box or 'mic' up the amp. Sorry, but you'll need another cable. |
