Default hardware buffer issues on 6.4 LE with 001

Hey,

I am running 6.4 with a 001, as the title suggests, and I am having problems with the sample rate in the playback engine page.

It has not been an issue before, but, for whatever reason, one song i am working on stops playing at about 3 minutes in, and tells me to lower the buffer size....so, i go and change it to 512 and try again, at the exact same point, it tells me to increase the buffer. So, I increase it, and the cycle of annoyance continues.

It is getting to be an issue, as the band is waiting for copies, and i can't bounce the damn thing.

any ideas?

Could be a bad file. Try "save session copy in" and tell it "copy audio files" then try opening the copy and bounce from there.

Also, you can usually find a bad file by creating a new blank session, then import each track one at a time and play through the spot where it hangs. One track'll usually make it hang.

If neither works, to get you through, try consolidating the tracks.
