Default Error Code -6086 / Inxcreasing H/W Buffer size.

Hello Forums,

Really hope someone can help me.

Can anyone help, i bought a Protools LE on M Box, but am having endless problems with the above error message popping up all the time it's so annoying!!!

when trying to playback any amount of Audio tracks, i get the following error meassage at randoms intervals-

"The operating system held off for too long, if this re-occurs please try increasing the H/W Buffer size to 1028 (-6086)"

My PC speq is as follows -
Make/Model- Advent T9102
Chip- Pentium 4 550 3.4 Ghz Chip with HTT.
Hard Drive- 250GB SATA HDD.
RAM- 512MB DDR 7200
OS- Windows XP Home.

Can anyone please help me, i've had this PC a month and have not had the chance to use properly.

I have tried everything i can think of, tried different MBox's but got the same problem.

I took my PC back to PC world and sat with the Technical guys for 6 hours , no joy, we even tried installing on 4 other PC's in the store and they all had the same message, he led me to believe it was my Mbox but tried it at a friends last night and it worked fine.

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time

Read This answerbase article

The Advent T9102 indeed uses the 915G chipset.

There has been limited success using a powered hub with the mBox and 9xx chipsets, you might want to try that.

Also make sure you turn off the hyperthreading feature.

Is it likely that there will be a fix for this problem?

How should i go about sorting this out as i have bought i PC i can't use is it completly usless to me or is there something i can do to the hardware?

All advice is greatly appreciated.
