002 Need Help

Hi I just bought a 002 and are experiencing some strange things that I hope someone can help me with.

I have a Dual 2ghz 1.5 gig ram g5
pro tools 7.0 digi 002 console.

Problem #1
#1 I start with one mono track going out main 1-2,
#2 then create 6 mono aux inputs (input from busses) out 3-6 mains
#3 then set my mono track with additional sends through busses to the aux inputs
#4 But even though the sends are turned all the way down, when I play the audio on the mono track all the meters on the aux's start going crazy. Hope that explanation made sense. Any suggestions?

Also....

Is there a way to turn off the motorized faders on play back? but still have your mix going through?

Is there any good solution for surround panning in LE?

Yes, you can turn off the motorized fades (in preferrences somewhere)
Meters can be set to pre or post fader metering...
Surround panning is done in other DAWS... You just don't get it easily in PTLE.

I use Vegas 6 for my surround which has an automatable surround panning function and can be connected to the OO2 via ASIO.
