I'm a big fan of Lacie.. I've had half a dozen or so, fast, none have failed even after dropping a couple... never any problems.. A little more expensive, but imho, well worth it... .

I'm a big fan of the Seagate Barracuda drive from Other World Computing. I use them internally and externally.
