Default Digi Soundcard + Cubase SX + UAD-1

Hi,

I want to use Cubase SX with my Digi001 as Soundcard and an UAD-1 card. I'm still not able to do it, since everytime I launch an UAD-1 plugin my system freezes.

I had a post in the past, if anybody tried the same setup, but nobody seems to (still waiting for experiences of other users...).

Has anybody tried Digi002 with Cubase SX + UAD-1?

Since Digi won't include automatic latency compensation, I'm ready to jump ship and buy an RME card...
I always kinda liked working with PTLE especially recording, but if the stuff isn't compatible and they deny to include improvements which other products already have, what can I do?

Cheers

Kai

i don't have a uad1, but i can tell you that you that cubase runs very well on digi hardware. you don't need another soundcard.

Hi,

unfortunately that seems to be only half the truth. It runs very well with the Digi001 as long as you don't try to open a 'powered plugin' from the uad card.
It works with other soundcards for example the onboard soundchip... or basically every other soundcard then the Digi001!
I think it's strange to advertise the uad-1 to use with PTLE, but doesn't make it work with another host application in conjunction with Digi001.

Powercore doesn't make any problems btw (at least when it comes to working with Digi001).

I contacted UAD support, and they answered that they never tried the 001+SX+UAD combo...

I tried the new UAD Update, no changes.

i'll take a shot in the dark here. make sure "release asio driver in background" is unchecked in device properties > vst multitrack.

also, visit the cubase forum.
