Default How To Findout What Type Of Processor I Have On MBP...!

Greets,

Is there any way i can find out exactly what type of processor i have on my MacBook Pro? The reason i'm trying to do this is to find out if it's compatible with 10.4, so i can purchase and install Tiger instead the currently installed Leopard. I already went to the little apple sign in the upper left hand corner and checked under "About this Mac", and still didn't see anything helpful. Or maybe i just don't know what i'm looking for . Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks.

yeah, I think you just missed it. Apple Sign/About this mac and it sits dead in the middle of the box. Right under the software update button. It will either say Core Duo, or Core 2 Duo. If you are looking for more information. Click on System info and there first selection is hardware. It will tell you the model identifier information and you can pull up your exact processor, like penryn, Santa Rosa etc, online.
