Hd Process and HD Accel Cards Pick and mix.

Hello,
I am about to buy and HD2 system which has the old HD Process card on it.
I am also looking into purchasing a relatively new HD ACCEL card.
I would like to know if anyone here has tried to stick them both on the same system under tiger (I am planning to use PT 8).

Do they actually work together, is there any plugs incompatibility?

Hi,

you can't mix PCI and PCIe cards!! so make sure all cards are the same PCI or PCI e.

you can mix and match process and accel cards ok.

acel process cards also come in pcix.

but the OP should know what u said, just in case.

Hi,

No, accel cards only came in PCI or PCIe.

The PCI will fit in a PCIx slots but they are not PCIx specs

what I meant was that I have procces and accell cards,both in PCI-X format.
I was wondering if they could be mixed in the same system.

Hi, Yes.

in the computer you fit them core-accel-process.

To be precise you have PCI cards! but yes they will work in PCIx slots

i have pt hd accel system with 2 pci x cards:1 core and 1accel.on windows xp.im thinking to add one more accel or proccess card.hd process card is comactible with pt 8?is eanybody out there with this compination working on Dell Precision Workstation 690?
