Default Why were all legacy Control Surfaces consolidated into one forum?

So please tell me the thought process of mixing control surface topics/threads.
How do you search on a specific surface. I know ProControl is legacy, but I spent $30,000 and this what I get! Moreover I would be really upset if I was an Icon customer! Please have some more surveys "popup"!

Default Re: Thank You Avid

I've got 10 ICONs and I'm not upset
ICON and C24 share code that is current
C8, Control 24 and, PC are all discontinued with older outdated code

be glad it didn't get moved into only 1 Legacy section for everything

I agree, I own a 48 fader ProControl setup, I do visit the ProControl page on a regular basis and now it is all mixed up with the other legacy control surfaces. So now when I open a thread I don't even know if the subject is about ProControl to begin with.

And indeed how do you use the search function on a specific control surface? If the word ProControl isn't present in the title or in a message in a thread, it will be ignored by the search engine. The same goes of course for the combined ICON & C|24 page, how can an ICON owner find threads about his machine?

Please restore the original ProControl pages. These beautiful and expensive machines deserve it, even if it is a legacy machine.

Thank you.

Craig not a cool response.
There are those of us legacy users that really should be considered a little bit more thoughtfully because we did make a huge investment at one time. No I'm not crying about support for my Drumulator chips or my various Sound Designers I bought or even Q-List that never even had one revision. Where talking about a very valid piece of hardware that only has "outdated code" because Avid chooses it to be. Procontrol could still be very relevant if it was profitable for Avid.
