I'm amazed that this hasn't been added yet. This is basic stuff for virtually all other DAWs.

Dear Avid,
It's 2019 and this feature would still be very useful. PLAYLIST VIEW for Instrument tracks or other tracks with MIDI info.

That meme with the cobweb covered skeleton slumped over on the mixing desk:

Me waiting for Avid to implement MIDI playlists.

I've been waiting for this for years. I'm always embarrassed to tell other DAW users that I use MIDI in ProTools, and all it CANNOT do that their DAWs have been able to do for decades. I hear from insiders that Avid will probably NEVER update their MIDI spec, which is so god-awful.

I would stoφ waiting if I were you and if Avid ”insiders” said that then it makes even more sense to go elsewhere for midi.

Everyone who work with MiDI uses a different DAW since ages ago. PT just isn’t the right product for heavy or even moderate midi use so just use something else for that and enjoy the AWESOMENESS of edit power of PT that no one elses DAW comes close to.
