Drag and Drop select portion of an audio file into timeline?
Hi there,
As a sound designer for film, I often use the Workspace Browser to preview sounds, find the one I want and then drag and drop it straight into my timeline. However, oftentimes the original source file is incredibly long and all I need is a portion of it. I wish there was a way to set an in/out point and drag just a piece of it into the timeline. Anything I'm missing here? Any workarounds for this? Otherwise seems I am stuck zooming way out and having a blank track just to throw files into and then chop them up in. Seems there should be an easier way. Thanks in advance for your thoughts! |

Thanks! Aside from being able to do this within ProTools this does seem like the next best thing. I'm trying the free trial now.
It's a bummer it creates a new clip file with no handles when you drag a portion into the timeline but otherwise it will surely work for now. Last edited by MatthewBeals; 08-19-2017 at 05:58 PM. |
