Default C24 Display Problem

Hi there,

I'm new in here :)
I have a problem with my C24. Two displays are not working, the backlight is ok but there are just squares... ?? (picture-link attached)
Even if it's connected to ProTools 12, the 3rd display is working fine...
Does anyone know what to do? Is it a hardware-problem, maybe a loose cable...?
Restart has no effect, firmware was updated...

Here's a picture:

Could someone help?
Cheers

Did you reset the unit? It should have a reset to defaults?

Picture didn't come through......Avid should sell those displays still, it's a current product

Thank you! I just found the firmware reset but no button for something like a sysreset as Control 24 has...

Wow that does look bad, no other weird issues with lights on other parts of the board?
I'm thinking that it might indicate a power supply problem if you have other areas of your board seeing abnormal light problems

Do you have an active support plan? If so, it might be as easy as sending them an email and asking them if they have seen this issue.... because if you have an active support plan heck you're already paying for the support it doesn't cost you anything else to contact them

Thank's for your ideas, but there is no problem with other lights on the board.
I've made a short videoclip in vegas mode...

Actually I have no active support plan, so...

Thanks YYR123! I opened the board and made a little test. So the displays are working fine, even the flat ribbon cables. Hm???

Maybe there is something going on with the comm circuit board?

And no, I have no active support plan at the moment - do you think it's useful for something like that?

Ah, and there are no other light problems with the board or other weird things-
everything is working fine except the 2 displays...

Wow, it really appears that those strips are bad.

If I was feeling motivated I would swap the one working with the one that's not.

This would tell you if it's the driver or the actual display board.

But at this point it might be worth 30 bucks to actually call avid and have them troubleshoot it with you over the phone

Yes, I already did that and all the cables and the 3 displays are fine...
The problem seems to be the comm board, I think I need to buy a new one

Yesterday I sent an email to the German support and hope they will sell me just the board so I can replace it...
