Omni causing "Creating DAE object" hang on boot-up

After the arduous task of downloading multiple gigs worth of software from Avid's site - after updating Java and waiting all day for PT 10.3 native to download, it wouldn't boot - it would hang repeatedly at the "creating DAE objects" portion. I found a work-around c/o the knowledge base - you hold down the N key during bootup and select a different "interface", in this case, the internal Mac inputs - save a session, then reopen and choose the Omni interface. It now works, but what a pain - this is clearly a bug that needs to be addressed.

I hate this idea of ilok updates and multi gig downloads - I have to spend an entire weekend installing software (which in this case is buggy) where a proper installer disk would've had me up and running in one evening.

I have 3 rigs with the Omni interface and HD Native card running PTHD 10.3.3 on 10.8.2 and don't have this issue.

Please post more detailed system specs (actual PT and OS versions, full CPU specs as well as any other 3rd party hardware connected etc) and we'll see if we can get you up and running.

In mine case I just had to reset omni from the front panel and all was well

Thanks, I probably wasn't clear in my post, but I'got it working thanks to the workaround I found in the knowledge base.

I haven't run multiple tracks yet as I'm still downloading and configuring the Omni etc.

So far the air plug-ins are great, I may not even bother to transfer my soundtoys suite over from TDM to native.
