Default Re: generating MTC with SYNC I/O

set the MTC generator to none.

The Eucon ports are virtual ports and not for you.

This going to seem dumb, but is the device receiving the MTC have the cable going to its input? Do you have the session set to the same frame rate? In the MTC reader (in peripherals) setting, do you have that one set to the right port? Open the session setup on the receiving pro tools and see if the "incoming time" is turning/receiving.

Default Re: generating MTC with SYNC I/O

I worked around my immediate need, but next time I'm thinking of doing this again, I'll check those things. I know for sure the session setup window was not showing any incoming timecode and that the correct port was set in Peripherals, but I only checked the other things once so it might be worth a double-check.

The thing that really confused me was that Sync I/O didn't show in the peripherals page for the generator port on that rig. I think there's an "all" setting on that, though, and I did try that--unless I'm misremembering.

The top MTC Reader and Generator is for any other MIDI ports if you have MIDI devices but not necessary if you have a Sync I/O.

The Sync I/O has only an output (so no reader, only generator) and as the Sync I/O only has one point (to generate or read sync) it has simplified controls outside of the MTC Reader and Generator area.
Good explanation. Thanks.
