Default new user help-go with mbox?

Hi, all. I'm a new user, just took some college classes in cubase and I liked the setup. Installed Cubasis 4.0 and apparently it has problems with the midi-out, so I'm thinking of going with the mbox. Is pro tools LE pretty easy to start with? I'm using winxp, microsoft GS wavetable synth for midi, ESS maestro soundcard and a midiman uno 1x1 usb midi interface. Is this a good place to start? Thanks for the help.

I would suggest you download Pro Tools Free and see if you like the software interface. I've not used Cubase, but most sequencers/audio apps have similar functions. If you do a lot with midi, you might find Cubase to be more flexible for extensive midi work. That's what I've heard from some midi people anyway.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I find Pro Tools to be the most intuitive of the DAW sofware options. It's very functional in its layout and design. I've worked with a few others and found they slowed me down. The first I worked with was Cubase... what a pleasure to move to PT.
