Revert back to 12.7 from 12.8.1
Having nothing but problems with the new 12.8.1 install. Skipped 12.8.
How can I revert back to 12.7, immediately? Don't have time to work out NUMEROUS bugs this week. Media Man Windows 10 Dell T 5610 server Dual Xeon |

Re: Revert back to 12.7 from 12.8.1
not sure for windows, but on a mac, you just throw the Pro Tools application away (from the /Applications folder), and install the 12.7 package.
might be equally simple for you on windows, don't know

Edit: Mac Only. It's a good idea to trash your prefs, though.

Re: Revert back to 12.7 from 12.8.1
Do a clean/complete uninstall, reboot, run CCleaner's registry cleaner until it doesn't find any issues, reboot, install 12.7 - I've found 12.4 best for me - reboot and go.
BUT, before any of that, make sure you have a backup image or clone just in case. I prefer Macrium Reflect for imaging and cloning.

Re: Revert back to 12.7 from 12.8.1
Control Panel(Categories)>uninstall a program>right-click on Avid Pro tools and select change. In next window, select Remove. in next window, check the box to remove pro tools, HD drive, database files and preferences. When that finishes, also uninstall Pace 64 bit support(it will re-install when you initiate the Pro Tools installer later). after a reboot, find the installer for the last version you were happy with; right-click on the Setup file and choose Run as administrator. Follow the prompts
