Can you zip up the AvidLogFiles folder located at MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Logs and email it to me?

Please include the thread number in the subject of your email.

(Copying here my reply)

The log files aren't telling me much of anything, unfortunately.

Have you tried launching from a new administrator account? If not, please try that.

Also, did you update the OS to 10.6.8 using the Software Update panel or the downloadable Combo Update from the Apple site? If you used the Software Update panel, try downloading and installing the Combo Update v1.1 from the Apple website, then do a clean uninstall/reinstall of Pro Tools.

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399

Let us know if that helps.

The problem seems to be with a corrupt or outdated OMF.bundle (used to enable DigiTranslator). I'm having them remove it, trash prefs and restart before testing again.

If necessary that bundle can be reinstalled from the Pro Tools LE 8.0.x installer.
