What is the best way to revert back to 8.01?

What is the best way to revert back to 8.01?
I gambled and didn't image between 8.01 and 8.03 (thinking it would be a minor, harmless upgrade)
I haven't worked long enough, yet, to run into problems but I wanted to get my game plan ready stepping back is necessary.

Can I simply uninstall pt8? Then reinstall? Do I need to delete other drivers? Any other steps?

That's pretty much it. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong!) Uninstall PT, reinstall 8.0 then do the 8.0.1 update. Not working for you? Which interface/platform?

Actually I'm a little ahead of myself. I read the threads with the warnings about 8.0.3 and got a little scared lol. So far I'm ok but I haven't had a lot of time recently in my home studio/basement and wanted to have a solution ready if anything came up.

Thanks for your help. I was worried that there might be some drivers or some other items that wouldn't get reverted. I read some posts about the noise blast problem getting carried back to the previous version somehow so I'm paranoid.

Running xp/002/8.0.3 on a two-year-old PC with zero issues here.

Always clone your drive before making any changes, that's the best way to return to a known state. I haven't tried the new cs1 yet because i haven't had time to clone the drive.

I had problems with 8.0.3, white noise blasts from time to time. I uninstalled 8.0.3, re-installed 8.0 and then updated to 8.0.1. No more white noise blasts.

I have system drives with both 8.0.1 and 8.0.3 and I don't have issues on either.

I've been playing with this for weeks, different RAM, different F/W controllers, different video cards, and the way I configure them, all seem to make a huge difference in 8.0.3. This is the most delicate, most fragile release I can remember. Then again I do like having this in a 64bit system. I'm getting tempted to take it off the test rig and use it. But not quite yet. No noise or distortion since last week.

Well for me PTSv8 is by far the best version, far less issues nice v5, The version I had the most crap with was 7.3. so I had my fare share of crap......I use PTSv8 with XP Pro 32bit, which could be the Difference most of you use Windows 7, which could be the issue.

This is a little off subject but what the heck.
I have acronis and I made a full image of my C drive before I went from 7.3 to 8.

The reason I didn't do one from 8 to 8.0.3 is that I couldn't afford the extra disk space on my hard drive.
Do you guys do full images for every version? That adds up quickly on a storage drive. Let's say I have 200 gig of info on my drive. If I have an image of 7.3, then one of 8, I've almost filled a 500 gig external, not counting my sample downloads from places like Slate Platinum etc. which I also have backed up. Then there's the time issue. A full image takes an entire night.

So my question...are there ways to make partial images or snap shots that don't require an 11 hour 200 gig backup image? I get a little confused and paranoid an the whole backup thing.
