I bought a Mindprint DI-port...(dual micpre & a/d & d/a conversion). I will pick it up tomorrow. I will post results too...

I am thinking of purchasing this. Do you have any thing to report on what you think about the product? What does it compare to? What do your ears tell you?

Thanks much. Anyone else have this pre?

I have the DI-Port. I love it. The difference in clarity over the Digi pre's is quite stunning considering the price.

Bastian & Aussie,

I've been trying to decide on a 2 channel AD/DA. Re the Di-port: have you used it as a master clock for the 001 and if so does it seem to make any difference? How do the converters themselves sound? (bypassing the mic-pres). Thanks for any info!

Loren- I haven't received it yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting it. Go to humbuckermusic.com and check out what they have to say about it. That was what really sold me. They are straight up about what is good and they even say what sucks about it. I plan to post a full review on it as soon as I use it. I'm going to put it to the test right away on a heavy sounding rock band and will use it on vocs, di bass, gtr, and drums, so we will all find out how it sounds. I have a feeling that I'm going to be extremely happy with this purchase and they are already selling a boat load of these pres. There are gems out there, you just have to do your research and seek them out.

Numachida
The converters are noticibly better. Much more open sound. My drum overheads especially are a lot cleaner and brighter (in a good way).

I haven't tried it as the master clock. I just switch it to auto and it syncs to the 001 straight away, no hassles.

BTW... HMAN, sorry about taking over the thread
