Default White Noise when arming audio in

I'm using an mbox2- I've never had this problem before but I just tried arming an input to record some guitar tracks and the track immediatly clipped with steady white noise. Nothing is clipping going in (Pod XT Live). I tried unplugging all inputs in to the mbox and it still did it. I does it on both input 1 and 2, and though it never has before, it's doing it on all my sessions now. I haven't changed anything internally that should cause this...
Please help!!!

Did you by any chance put your Mac to sleep while you're away?

It's due to putting the computer to sleep, I think, PT doesn't like it. Sometimes white noise occurs, sometimes not.

I had the same problem. You might avoid it completely by not using "sleep". However, if you carry on using it, solution in any case: http://web.mac.com/jcdeshaies/Delete...Bienvenue.html

I have the same issue but that link is no longer valid, could you explain this solution?
