Default Bounced files sound different than the PT project

1. I am experiencing an issue where I get a mix sounding right in my Pro Tools session (does not clip with the use of a limiter on the master fader track). But once I bounce the session (whether to a single track or to disk) the created file clips horribly. So it seems as if the limiter is not being bounced along with everything else. I am new to sound design, mixing, editing, etc. so please forgive my possible misuse of things. Any help would be greatly be appreciated!

2. My mentor who is guiding me through my training in Pro Tools showed me how to route each of my tracks to various Busses (VO Bus, Ambiance Bus, Fx Bus, etc.) and then each of those Busses to the Master Buss Track and it to the Master Fader Track. Once I set up all of that routing, I try to bounce my project and the file is just silent. I have tried turning off/on the "Input Monitoring" button in various combinations of all the Busses to no avail. I have set the Bounce diolauge box "Bounce Source" to "the Master Bus" and even the main outputs (my speakers) still to no avail. Only when I make all the tracks output directly to the Master Bus can I create a bounced file that has sound. What am I missing?

You've obviously got the routing wrong somewhere.

Post a (high resolution) screenshot of your Mix Window and we can probably help you route it correctly.

Those pics are too small to make out the routing configuration. Don't scale the images please. Keep them at the resolution they were taken at so we can read the I/O tabs.

Actually, on second glance, I think I see your problem. I think you've routed them to audio tracks. The busses should be aux tracks.

Agree with Sardi. The mix busses should be through aux tracks and the master fader should be on Bus 1-2 before the print track. When bouncing, you would choose Bus 1-2 as the source, not the hardware output.

The screen shots are full resolution that my Mac took when I did Command + 3. I did not change them. How can I get better ones?

If you haven’t resized them, then host the image on a free web hosting site and post the link. It may be resizing it if you’re using the image attachment function of the forum.

Did you try changing those audio tracks to aux tracks?
