Audio shifting and disappearing

opened 2 different projects yesterday during a client mix one session a number of tracks were shifted in time out of sync and another project all the guitar audio was deleted however the tracks were still there.
What would cause that when nobody else was in the projects?

I just don't trust CC with out having backups of the all projects.
