Even as I read your post on my iPhone, PT randomly crashed while I was simply deactivating a group of tracks. Something I've done a thousand times before! So PLUS 1,000 to your comment, Tom! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Where is 12.8?
Hey Avid, I recently just paid another $399 to beta test for your company. Is there something very wrong with this?

Re: Where is 12.8?
(broken record rant)
Stop pining for 12.8 because it'll fix nothing of any significance. Pro Tools is an embarrassingly bloated monstrosity at this point. We need 13, and 13 needs to be a complete overhaul. It's ridiculous that a 2.5GHz i7 quad core 16GB RAM machine with all of Avid's recommended "optimizations" runs hot with fans blazing for a session with literally 2 tracks playing 2 virtual instruments, one playing strings in "lite" mode and another playing a freaking square wave. Meantime, Garageband and Reaper don't break a sweat, and with an extra layer of strings. And I can post rants like this on the interwebs at the same time. |
