Wouldn't it be nice to be delivered tracks that all you needed was a McDSP AS-2 and just add a little something special?
:)

I've been working on a series with some of the worst recordings I've ever heard come out of a "professional" studio (local well known studio for this kind of work). I am using Zynaptiq Unveil to attempt to untwist this pile of crap (surprisingly successful).

So far RX4, Unveil, Acon Digital DeReverberate, Hofa IQ-EQ, and the McDSP de-Esser have been my friends on this one.

I'm going to try the McDSP plugin on foley this morning. That might be a good fit. I believe the first band starts around 3k and goes up to 11k in "Normal" mode.

Typically I use a combination of an L2 to tame foley transients and Waves Vitamin to bring effects to life.

Nice to see something new come to market from one of the best plugin developers around.

This plugin kind of reminds me of Vitamin a little. Vitamin is part eq, part compression part saturation, but behaves much more like an enhancer.

This is clearly designed to do something a little different using a different design paradigm, but I'm willing to bet there is a little eq and compression/limiting of its on design going on too.

I've been using NovelTech's Vocal Enhancer to add some sparkle to dialog that needed some drastic cleaning. I think it helps.

Oh yeah, I have the Noveltech Vocal Enhancer as well, just remembered. Also picked up Character which was just recently on sale.

I didn't really need it, but I was picking up other plugins at the same time, it seemed almost criminal not to get it with the discount I would have gotten with additional plugins.

In the end I would have paid around $30 for it. $30 for a $150 plugin, I couldn't resist.

It's such a shame I don't have time to test it yet... just reading all the comments like a child who waits for his Lego to arrive.
