no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
Hello,
I'm running protools LE 6.9.2 on a Mac OSX powerbook. I've been able to use my m-audio radium perfectly fine with Reason Adapted. When in Protools (with Reason running through Rewire) I'm able to draw out midi and have it play through reason. I can get no signal from my controller. it recognizes the controller, and as far as the reference guide is concerned. Shouldn't there be a way to play my Reason synthesizer with my controller, and record the audio and/or midi info. I've never gotten the controller to do anything in protools. Thanks for any help, tom |

Re: no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
Make sure your assigning the correct Reason device in the MIDI Output selector.

Re: no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
I'm pretty sure I am. if I draw out midi, I can change the Midi output and switch between different synthesizers. there is sound coming from reason, controlled by protools. I just can't get the m audio controller to do anything in protools.

Re: no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
hi. thanks for your help and sorry for the delay,
Midi thru is checked. still nothing. is my only option to record midi in reason, without protools open, and then feed that back into protools later? there's got to be a more direct way. thanks again. tom |

Re: no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
BUMP! I am having the IDENTICAL problem.
MIDI controller is working A-OK with just Reason Adapted open. Open PT, open up ReWire, get the Reason session playing fine. But NO MIDI CONTROL now. Please advise; thanks in advance! -Eric @ Studio Curve Dominant |

Re: no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
i have exactly the same problem. I am running 7.1 and have an axiom 25 controller. I can get sound to come through on the rewired instrument tracks, but i cannot get pro tools to recognize my controller for sequencing. I am completely lost and have spent so much time trying to get this to work. Someone must have an answer.

Re: no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
What does your audio input say? I know, sounds like a dumb question, but some of my older plugins work the same way. I see midi info coming in, but no sound! When I switched the audio input to a physical input on the interface, it started working. FM7 behaved this way, until I just messed around with the configurations. Just a thought.

Re: no signal from controller in protools LE 6.9
This is the case for plugins that are not PT 7.x compatible.
Update your plugins if you can to avoid this.
