Questions on Setting Up PT 11.3.2 at Home
Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone can help me out with info/suggestions for running Pro Tools 11.3.2 at home? I recorded the guts of an album last summer in a professional recording studio using PT 11.3.2. I did not use any plugins (yet) therefore it’s just raw audio. I’m wanting to finish vocals/some synths at home. I’m wanting to know what kind of set up I would need to finish this. I’ve already spoken to someone from an electronics/music store and they’ve stated 3 things that I’ll need: 1. A Pro Tools Perpetual License to run 11.3.2 2. A MacMini - 3.0GHz 6-core 8th generation Intel Core i5 with 16GB memory (i.e. latest 2020 model) 3. An audio interface e.g. Audient iD 14 Is this advice correct? Will this set up work for Pro Tools 11.3.2? Any and all feedback for this amateur will be greatly appreciated. |

Be careful of your OS choice. Pro Tools 11.3.2 will not run properly on newer operating systems. Check for compatibility.

Then you would not care which PT version you are installing, so long as it is compatible with the OS you are using on your computer. Compatibility info here.

Any PT Perpetual license comes with 10/11/12/2020, and I guess it's possible to get one used. I recently did. But it took almost a month for Avid to transfer the license. |

Re: Questions on Setting Up PT 11.3.2 at Home
Remember, in your situation, if you could get the studio to provide the audio tracks as wav files, all starting at 0.00, you could put these into any DAW, it doesn't have to be PT.

I'm considering getting an Audient iD 14 interface. |
