Apollo X series HW Inserts phasing on AUX
For some reason I’m getting phasing when trying to use the hardware inserts on the aux channels on Protools Ultimate.
I’m on the latest version of ultimate. Somehow theirs a mismatch on who’s reporting the correct delay compensation. And it’s phasing on protools. Other daws work fine because I can ping and get the correct time. Can anyone help me resolve this issue please ? I’m using 32bit / 48Khz On win 10 X16 X8 2x X6. Thanks. Re: Apollo X series HW Inserts phasing on AUX
Just enough latency to make it phase-shift would be my guess. Eventide has a time-adjuster plugin that might address that issue.

Re: Apollo X series HW Inserts phasing on AUX
AFAIK, PT does not compensate automatically with 3rd party hardware. You likely need to go into the IO setup>Last tab and enter the proper value to compensate. The kicker is; will changing buffer settings cause need to change the compensation value? Just my personal preference, I use hardware while recording and keep the mix strictly "in the box".

Re: Apollo X series HW Inserts phasing on AUX
Protools won’t allow negative settings in the I/O box.

Re: Apollo X series HW Inserts phasing on AUX
Of course it won’t, the number you enter is the latency not the correction.. All this is clearly explained in the Pro Tools Reference Guide (but note there are two seperate sections, one on using hardware inserts and a totally separate section on latency measurement and adjustment in hardware inserts, the later one in the latency compensation section. Read them both).

Meh, I moved on to another DAW for this.
Just avid and it’s BS. Why can’t they just implement a ping feature. Smh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes would save a little time, would be good for Pro Tools to catch up with Reaper

That’s exactly the DAW I had to use to get things going. Mad I spent money on a death trap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
