Default reported delays on master tracks (with UAD cards)

Firstly why does my C4 report 1124 samples delay on a master track and only 64 samples on a normal audio track? and secondly if I bypass the reported delay compensation on the master tack, does it make any difference to my overall performance? and thirdly my Universal audio PCE card is very heavy so it is giving me exceptional delay readings but they are VERY good (the precision limiter is the best I've ever heard) I've had a good look at all the present documentation but have found nothing applicable! Any ideas anybody?
