Hi,
I am brand new to Pro Tools, i have pro tools 9 on mac and feel very lost! Am used to working with cubase.
i am having trouble with my input/output routing i think. When i record an audio track and then go to record a new audio track i can't hear the first track or the new one. Am really lost as to what i'm doing!
Can anyone please help with a) what im doing wrong here? really wanna start recording some audio and b) some good tutorials that are understandable

You mean you are punching into the old one?

Sounds like input monitoring.

1-Once you've recorded a track make sure the track is not record enabled anymore, if it is you won't hear any sound.

2-When recording if you can't hear what you are recording, check under the Track menu your Input Monitoring should be set at Input only monitoring.

3- Good tutorials payable sites:
http://www.groove3.com/str/pro-tools-training/

There's always Youtube.....You can find a lot for free.

Is it an Mbox? If so it sounds like you have the front panel knob (sorry I don't remember what it is called) set to monitor input only. Try turning it to the center and you should hear your live input and pre-recorded track at the same time.
