New midi device problems

Hi, i just purchased a roland rs-70 and i cannot get it working in protools.

Its receiving infomation but the signal is not coming out of the monitors.

I have tutorials on midi setup on mac but i am running xp so its rather worthless to me.

Any help would be appreciated.
