PT LE on Macbook Pro - major launching issues, help needed

Okay, to make a long story almost as long..
I received my brand new Macbook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo) today and installed Pro Tools LE 7.1.1 right away,
and then tried launching it - and nothing happened. The PT icon just bounced in the dock, but the program
didn't even try to launch.
So I went on here and found a solution that worked - to create a new account with admin priveliges.

The thing is, it's kinda annoying having to have 2 accounts.
On some installs (and other bigger system updates/changes) the installer complains that you're not on the main admin account.
So it's a bit annoying having to Log In/Out.
On my previous Macbook Pro (which was just an Intel Core Duo, not a Core 2 Duo like this one) I didn't have this problem.

Is there ANY way around this? Help would be greatly appreciated.
And if it matters - I'm using OS X 10.4.9 and an Mbox 2.

Download and install the Apple 10.4.9 combo updater.
