Kontakt and Protools

Does anyone have this problem? I am able to load kontakt and use it. but once i save and quit the session that is it. if i try and open that session with kontakt protools just crashes.

I'm not on HD or Mac but Mix TDM v6.4.1 and XP
I use Kontakt v1.5.3 without any issues.
I can save, close and reopen that session fine.

AC, one of your big problems is that you are using a really old version of Kontakt on a really new version of Pro Tools. You can upgrade to the newest version of Kontakt for about $140, and it should solve many of the problems you are having.

i used kontakt1.5 and like all the Native instruments i had in komplete 2 ,it was a nightmare
whenever it was used it was a problem,making for lots of unexpected crashs,and wierd behaviour
However i did upgrade to Kontakt 2 ,and that seems to be much better ,much more stable
If you like kontakt,i recommend getting the upgrade to Kontakt2 to use with PT7

Your problem WILL be fixed with Kontakt 2, but be aware that SampleCell is NOT supported at this time. It's been on the horizon for months (according to Native Instruments), but they don't seem to get SC implemented. Very frustrating. I had to go back to 1.5 and deal with it's problems.

The problem is the coding quality of Kontakt.
I dont believe the people who do the QA for this product are anywhere near the level of the QA at Digidesign, MOTU, etc

The problem is the coding quality of Kontakt.

To me the biggest problem is their unability to communicate with their costumers (the NI-forum is a yoke) and the very good sounding library! How might it be a problem that their library sounds so good, you might ask? Well, if not you wouldn't need to bother about all the other problems surrounding this product!
