Default import tracks from another session

I have a effect template I use a lot as a starting point for my mixes so I import the effects I want to use in a mix into my current session
no volume automation only effects on aux channels

sometimes when I try to change the level of a effect (volume) it goes back to where it was which means there is a marker point somehwere on my volume line which IS NOT on my template! It kinda creates this thing when I'm importing a track
I have this from time to time not always on the same tracks and not on all tracks... is this a bug? I can easily erase the point and use the voume trim but I would prefer to know how I can avoid this

thx

It's related to the start time of the sessions.

If the start time of the session you're importing is 01:00:00:00 and the start time in your session is 09:59:00:00 you will have automation points at 01:00:00:00.

In the Import Session Data window use the Time Code Mapping Options to match your current session.

Brent Heber posted this video the other day. It explains it all in detail.

Except Brent's way of "changing the tape reel" is a horrible way to work. (no offense intended, I love Brent's videos!!!) He proposes that as you move from song 1 to song 2, you import the audio into song 1's session file from song 2 instead of the far superior method of opening song 2 and importing the settings from song 1.
