Default Suggestion - plug compatibility app

Hey Digi,
It would be really helpful and probably save everyone a bunch of time if you made an app that would allow users to check their plugs for compatibility. Some utility app that you open up and would look at your current PT and list which plugs are compatible and which ones weren't.
The app could update to stay current with the current list.

We're on computers, it just seems pretty silly that we have to sort through lists manually. This should be automated. Besides, think of the time saved here in the forum for all of us that don't seem to be able to get it right.

Just a thought.

This would probably save Digi enough time, by reduced support calls, in a week to pay for the development. The app should:
1) Show all the plugins in a sortable list, with currently installed version and required version (required version is updated via the web, with a single xml file that holds a list of compatible Plugins for each version of ProTools).
2) Provide a printable report grouped by: a) Compatiable, b) Not Compatible, and c) unknown (for the developers that do not have their plugins registered with Digidesign)
3) Have a button to push a suspect Plugins out of the plugins folder, into a holding folder.
3) Provide a link to the vendor's specific updater page for each plugin

Ideally there would also be an auto-alert within PT that checked the compatibility list at a configurable frequency and popped up a list of plug-ins that were either not compatible or updated, with update links, special installation notes, caveats etc. This would save me hours of drudgery every month, and I wouldn't have to maintain my own spreadsheet of plug-ins and versions. It is a common feature of software these days.

Hey, you could also use it to make important announcements.
