In fact it looks like anyone who buys one of the new 11R bundles with PT9 and the ERXP included, get PT10 for free.

A: Yes, it's possible. If you purchased a Pro Tools 9 product or upgrade within the time period stated below, you're eligible to receive a complimentary software upgrade:

You purchased and registered new Pro Tools 9 software (full version) or a product bundled with Pro Tools 9, including the Mbox family or Eleven Rack, on or after October 1, 2011

You purchased and registered a Pro Tools 9 upgrade or crossgrade on or between October 1–20, 2011
If you're eligible and registered your purchase, you'll receive an email with instructions to activate and download your complimentary copy of Pro Tools 10 software. However, if you purchased a product that included Pro Tools LE, you are not eligible to receive a complimentary Pro Tools 10 crossgrade (you can still purchase a crossgrade though)

Can you confirm a couple more things for me with your new bundle?

Was the ERXP pre-installed as stated on the Avid site?

Was there some kind of updater included to install the new UI files for the ERXP into PT9?

Does PT10 include the ERXP UI files or do you have to run an updater?

yeah it is, I dont really get why they are doing that. But so you know, for those of us who did crossgrade to PT9 when it came out for $249, PT10 is another $299 for us. So in total for PT9 crossgraders we pay $550 total to go from 8 to 9 to 10. To go right from PT8LE to PT10 is $500.

So you're kinda getting a better deal, though both deals are kinda crazy.

I'd take the $300 hit to crossgrade to PT10 if I was confident it would pay off when PT11 comes out next year (or 2 years from now) But with the trend from the last 3 generations going from $150 upgrades, to $250 upgrades, to now $300 upgrades...... the trend is going up, so it may be cheaper for me to just wait for PT11 to drop, and I can wait, PT9 is running great for me.

Or i'll just get PT10 for free if i decide to purchase a HD|Native system, but I sure am glad I didnt buy Native when I had a chance, because then I would be looking at a $999 upgrade for PT10 HD

FREE when you upgrade to HD?!? I'd hardly consider that FREE. How much does a base HD system run? Don't mean to get up your rear about this, but the fact the many people within the forum make statements like, "free when I upgrade my system," have a completely different view on spending those amounts of money than myself.

Too rich for my blood. I'm still on PT8.04LE and regretting I bought the amazing 11R because it came with PT - kinda a huge savings I thought. Now, these upgrades are too expensive in this economy.

maybe I shouldn't have said "free", instead I should have said PT10 HD is included.

Im looking at HD|Native not the new HDX.

an HD| Native system with an Omni I/O - I can get for around $4000, and PT10 HD is included
