Default Pro Tools 12 and ipad Pro

Hi,

I am using Pro Tools 12 on imac. Now I'm thinking about buying additionally an ipad pro 2019, because i am often somewhere else than in my studyroom, where the imac is located.
Can I work on ipad Pro with pro tools (just to work with tracks and so...)?

Can you give me a good, short information?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

Yes. You can use the PT Control app to... control PT.

https://www.avid.com/products/pro-tools-control

But your question almost seems as if you’re asking if PT itself or a stripped back iOS specific version exists for the device. If so, no.

There are other DAWs available for iOS if that’s actually what you wanted.

Yup you sure can, I use mind not only for Pro Tools but also control my TF5 (artists can set their own Monitor mix levels). It is really handy with PT especially in situations like recording acoustic guitar or sitting at a drum kit. I would though get a seperate dedicated router to setup in your studio.

I think the OP wants to RUN Pro Tools ON the iPad(not control PT running on another computer). As said, that's not an option(yet, anyway) You could do it on a MacBook Air
