Plug-in settings not available, I need help folks! Please.....
Hi there,
recently my protools 9.0.3 developed a problem. If I insert a plugin on a channel..............lets say Smack............when I go to load a user setting or a factory setting the only one available to me is the default one. It is the same with all the other plug ins. Even IK Multimedia's ARC room correction plugin's settings are missing and they are in the IK folder. Now this is only happening lately and was fine a while ago. I didn't add new software or anything it just happened! If my memory serves me correctly the plugin settings root folder location is as follows: Library/application support/digidesign/plug-in settings/ - - THEN YOU SELECT THE PLUG IN SETTINGS FOLDER FOR THE PLUG IN AND PROBLEM FIXED. This is what I remember but doing so does nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I updated to 9.0.5 in the hope that there would be a fix for the problem but alas it didn't fix this one. My fear is I'm gonna have to load all my plug ins again, get authorization codes from the websites and it is a time consuming pain in the ass. I don't wish to purchase PT 10 just yet so that not an option either. The machine is fine, the software is new...............I don't know what the hell is causing this but if any of you know would you share your fix for this with me.............I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance all!!! |

Hi!
Try to move all the plugins from the plugin folder to your desktop and then start Pro Tools 9. After everything is loaded shut down Pro Tools 9. Put every plugin back to the plugin folder and then delete the delete the following files: com.digidesign.ProToolsLE.plist DAE Prefs DigiSetup.OSX Pro Tools LE/HD/M-Powered Prefs Then restart Pro Tools 9. This worked for me when I had that specific problem. Remi

Hi!
Do you use Mac OSX Lion? If you do you have to use terminal to access the library folder whitin Mac hd. At least I had to! Those files are located there. Yeah try to reinstall those and see if that fixes it. I agree with you on pro tools being unstable. A pain in the a.. sometimes. I hope it works! Remi
