11R + GCP + midi Expression pedals curent state

Got my Voodoolab Ground Control Pro(GCP) midi'd up with my 11R via one midi cable. So far so good.
Got 2 expression pedals hooked into GCP.
I've set them up as wah and volume.

The thing that irritates me is that 11R does not read their current state. Or is it the GCP that does not send the current state? I don't know.

An example:
I have a rig (a) that has the volume set as default on 100%.
I turn the volume down 50% with the exp-pedal.
Now i switch to rig (b) which also has volume set as default to 100%.
* What i am missing here is to have 11R read the volume pedal current state(50%) and set the volume according to it.

Now, this post might be for GCP and not for 11R. But it might be something with the 11R that does not read the current state of the exp-pedal via midi.

I am not very experienced with midi.

Can you advice?

For the GCP to receive data you would have to hook up a return. You would need two midi cables right????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????

Did u try that?
I did and it fcked up the GCP.

Actually, I think the reason is that when changing preset on GCP, GCP does not send current-status of pedals to 11R.

The good people of voodooPedals sent me an email. They have a special software-version for the GCP that enables the GCP to send pedals-status to 11R(or other) when changing presets. It does require a new chip. Things like this usually costs money.
But they sent it to me free of charge.

I received the chip-upgrade from VoodooLabs and it works perfectly. I can only recommend this setup...
