Fade Problem
One of the guys at work is having a weird fade problem. Basically instead of the fade starting from silence, it starts loud, goes down and then comes back up. Also when he first opens the session, around 600 missing audio files come up, but when you go to relink, they are actually fade files, but he says nothing appears to be missing from the session. We tried deleting the database files and rebooting and also deleting the fades folder so it would re-render them. We also made sure there was no weird automation screwing things up. I'm about to try deleting the preferences, hopefully that might help. This on on G4 running 6.4.1cs3 on a Mix system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Fade Problem
I think I figured it out. There was an invalid fade in the session and when I tracked it down and removed it, it seemed to solve the problem. Does anyone know a shortcut for finding invalid fades? All Pro-Tools tells me is what playlist it is on. It is a pain to have to check each fade on the track to find it.
