Avid Control 20.5 app working fine with EuCon 20.5 and PT Ult 2020.5 on 10.14.6. Opening and closing folders from the app is cool. I wish there was an easy way to open and close folders from a surface (i.e. Artist Mix/S1/S3). But that may be coming in another update, as Folder Spill is supposed to be coming as well.

Only weird thing that happened, was that it actually took a bit of clicking to get my stored layouts to show up in the drop down in the app for a session I was working on yesterday. I created a new layout and at some point the old ones just showed up.

On the plus side, an OMF that gave me the Bento error yesterday on 2020.3 imported fine on 2020.5.

Compatibility document says approved for Catalina 10.15.3.

We just got a new MBP 16 yesterday and have been testing it with our setup. It was pre-loaded with 10.15.4. I have not yet discovered if there's a way to roll that os back to .3.

How many are using 10.15.4 sucessfully?

10.15.4 working wonderfully here but it took me half a week to do a VERY clean install. And there is a difference even with a factory install and emptying your system drive.

Thanks much! Same as my portable rig. I'll test that one first then.

Default Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 - hidden tracks?

Is anyone else seeing an issue with previously hidden and deactivated tracks becoming unhidden when the session is opened in 2020.5?

I have three mixes that I just completed last night on 2020.3. All three were long term projects, through many versions, revisions, edits, etc so there were large blocks of tracks de-activated and hidden with just the recent ones relevant to the mix visible.

I opened all three up today in 2020.5. In all cases, large blocks of hidden/deactivated tracks were unhidden. Not all and no pattern that I could discern. Maybe something related to changes they made in folders or groups? It did make for an annoying mess.

I didn't do so well. Installed EUCON 2020.5, then all went south. Went with PT 2020.5 instead, hoping for the better, with no luck.

Pro Tools crashed at startup. Managed to use Pro Tools by trashing prefs but cannot enable EUCON atm. Pro Tools hangs up when trying to enable EUCON. Your mileage may vary.

macOS 10.13.6
Pro Tools 2020.5 (previously 2020.3)
EUCON 2020.5

Best,
J.
