Default SW1 & SW2 questions

Hello,

I need to use the functions of these inputs for punch rec in/out and stop/play. My main questions are; (1) can I do both stop/play and punch rec in/out via 1 dual momentary switch, such as the Boss FS-6 where you can change the polarity, or (2) do I need 2 separate foot switches such as, the Boss FS-5U or FS-5L(one for SW1 and the other for SW2)??

Also, if I go with the latter foot switches, do I use FS-5U(Unlatched) or FS-5L(Latched)??

Thanks in advance!
