Default How to Lock the Fader

Hey everyone,

Just got a PT Dock and I'm loving it so far.

I haven't seen this discussed elsewhere, but I'm curious if it's possible to lock the fader to a specific track?

I.E. If I'm using the fader to automate one specific track, and I select another to let's say rename, it would be great if I then didn't have to re-select the track I want to automate. In a busy session, this can get tedious quickly.

Thanks in advance!

Hey, welcome aboard. you can use a layout to do this. Layouts are created in the EuControl software.

EuControl -- Assign tab

Make sure that "attentioned/selected track" is selected

Head over to the Layouts tab and save this layout in slot 1 as "default"

Head back over to the Assign tab and under "Assigned To" choose the track you want to pin to the fader.

Then head back over to the layouts tab and save this new layout in slot 2 as something that makes sense to you...

Now, in the PT|Control app (under the layouts softkey, or drop down in the top right) you can switch between having the fader pinned to your track or to the attentioned track.

make sense?

-A
