Sampler/Drum Sampler sw.....What's best?

I have the Free Sampletank plugin, and it's ok.
Not sure if you can create your own samples, but
it doesn't seem like it, so I may or may not actually buy the full version.

What does everyone else use as a sampler/drum sampler, and is it a plug in, or a "direct- connect" type App, for PTle, on XP:?

i use reason. there's a sampler that imports soundfonts and akai, or you can program your own. plus, we're getting rewire soon with PT6.1.

there's also dr-008 from www.fxpansion.com - its a plugin that works right in PT.

fuirty loops is good for drums. I made this rock drumloop with preset drums in fruity loops.
