PT 10HD Native - "Could not allocate space for recording"

Hey all, frustrating issue here...

Running Pro Tools HD Native 10.3.8 on a MacPro 5,1 running OS 10.8.4.

Highlighting (ie selecting in/out) anything beyond about 70 minutes with one 5.1 track and hitting record results in "could not allocate space for recording." Works fine with one mono or one stereo track. Highlighting just below 70 minutes with a 5.1 track works fine as well.

I've tried:
- allocating to different drives (both internal and external)
- repaired disk and permissions on all drives
- blowing away all prefs/etc
- completely uninstalling and reinstalling Pro Tools
- tried multiple sessions, both new and old

I have six rooms in this facility and we layoff full feature film mixes ALL of the time (generally at least six 5.1 stems and always more than 70 minutes)... this problem just started happening in a specific room and nothing new has changed/been installed/etc... seems out of the blue.

At my wits end here... any other suggestions?

Having the exact same problem, started out of nowhere and to add a detail, once I've recorded, say, a 90-min recording in 2 pieces and AudioSuite Duplicated them into one full-length file, I can no longer Destructively record on the 90 minute file, "Could Not Allocate Space For Recording"
