Unhappy Mac OS X 10.6.2 crashes with Pro Tools 8

Hi everybody,

When running Pro Tools 8, I have obnoxious crashes of my Operating System (Mac OS X 10.6.2), because my MacBook displays then the message: "You Need To Restart Your Computer". So I have to restart my computer...

Does someone got an idea of what's happening???

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Is it a kernel panic, requiring you to hold down your power button to shut down? If so, make sure you're not unplugging or plugging in an interface while your laptop is on, that can cause kernel panics.

Also to add to what NGL said, it's a good idea to turn on all of your external gear BEFORE you boot up the computer, and then turn off all of your external gear AFTER you shut the computer down.

Hi both NGL and Zooce,

I keep your useful advices with me, but just passing by on-the-fly to show you the "Report a problem to Apple" window after having my MacBook back on running right after crash below:
