Clip effects not working [SOLVED]

Perhaps I'm missing something but I'm running PT 12.6 HD on a HD Native card and I can't enable clip effects. Does it require a HDX/DSP card?

I have a HD Native card which I got from trading in my old TDM rig 6 years ago and am running HD via Firewire with my Apogee Ensemble.

I've trashed prefs etc…

Any ideas?
