8 channel w ith summing buss
Hi,
I have been looking for a stand alone solution for getting the 8 individual outs of my v-drums into a single unit, 8 channel pre, (or mixer) with individual outs and at the very least, a stereo summing mixer so that I can send the output to my reverb chamber - then on to my HD3 setup. The indi outs will go directly to PT (maybe some light compression) There is the TL Audio Tubetracker, but I have heard mixed reviews. Does anyone have something to say about the Presonus M-80? maybe that will do the trick? Suggestions and recommendations will be greatly appreciated |

Re: 8 channel w ith summing buss
I just heard the M80 for the first time last night at a friend's studio and was pretty impressed. I am also looking for an eight channel preamp/mixer. I looked at the Cransong eight channel preamp as well as the API 3124MB but both of those are nearly twice as much. I'm sure they are better, but the M80 sounded pretty dang nice for the money. I like the fact you have balanced send/return jacks before it hits the summing buss. And the harmonic distortion knob was interesting. It definitely didn't work on everything but sounded fantastic on bass guitar and acoustic.
